The EcoServ Summer School 2024 titled “Assessment of Ecosystem Services in the Hrazdan River Basin using Participatory Approaches” was successfully held from July 12-17 at the Best Resort Hotel in Aghveran, Armenia. This engaging event brought together students, teachers from schools and universities, and local residents to explore ecosystem services in the Hrazdan River Basin through participatory methods.
Multidisciplinary groups of students facilitated by teachers, implemented participatory approaches such as the photovoice method and participatory mapping to work directly with local communities and assess ecosystem services. The Summer School provided valuable opportunities for hands-on learning, collaboration with various stakeholders, and deepening understanding of current research methods and knowledge in the field.
