On July 8-9, the EcoServ team hosted an intensive workshop for teachers from schools and universities at the Best Resort Hotel in Aghveran, Armenia. The seminar addressed the gap in the Armenian educational system regarding the Ecosystem Services concept and its integration opportunities into curricula. More than twenty school teachers, including those from local schools within the Hrazdan River Basin region, and professors with diverse disciplinary backgrounds from various universities, joined forces to develop methodological approaches for engaging schools and universities in addressing real-life community problems in Armenia. Additionally, various participatory approaches, such as citizen science and crowdsourcing, were presented and applied during field visits.
We thank all participants for their active engagement and look forward to effective collaboration in the upcoming activities of the EcoServ project.
