Students as River Scientists
EcoServ fosters engagement with local communities by embedding citizen science into environmental monitoring and education across the Hrazdan River basin.
Working closely with regional schools, our initiative empowers students and teachers to collaborate in assessing river health through hands-on bioindication methods, using benthic macroinvertebrates, hydro-chemical and hydro-physical parameters as indicators of ecological conditions. Students are getting the ability to explore the potential of ecosystem services.

Building Capacity
Tools and Training for Local Teachers: This partnership is built on capacity-building: teachers receive training and educational resources, while students participate in fieldwork, strengthening their scientific knowledge and fostering long-term stewardship.
Empowering Youth & Shaping Future Stewards: By integrating citizen science into project-based learning, we aim to cultivate environmental awareness, nurture future scientific careers, and empower youth to engage actively in ecosystem services assessment and sustainable water management.
